Purpose
The Archive began as a personal collection of type specimens and print ephemera. Over time, it grew into a community-driven platform where designers, historians, and collectors contribute scans and metadata.
The digital platform needed to handle scale — tens of thousands of high-resolution images — while preserving the intimacy of browsing a physical collection.
InfiniteCanvas
The infinite canvas uses virtualization to render only visible specimens, loading high-resolution detail on demand. Pinch, zoom, and pan feel native, whether you're on a trackpad or touchscreen.
